Thanks for the wonderful interview, Calpernia – and for continuing to be a wonderful inspiration to transpeople throughout LA and beyond.

I’m pretty sure I will have lots of things to sympathize with, when it comes to the influence of fundamentalist Christian family members, an issue for me too.

I love the caption under your name Actress/Activist oh yeah! It is so cool that you put yourself out there and challenge people’s ideas about sexuality/gender. I have a few friends that are “undercover” so to speak, I recently had an older friend come out to me and I had no idea she was a transwoman she is just all woman to me just cause I think she realized that I am a safe person to share that information with. What you are doing is a much harder choice and I applaud you for it.

YAY!! Congratulations, Calpernia! You finally made it onto the cover of a magazine!

But sadly, Ambiente Magazine is only an online magazine. I definitely would have bought a copy of this issue of Ambiente Magazine if they sold it at bookstores!
