image“The City of West Hollywood will be presenting the 7th annual West Hollywood Book Fair on Sunday, September 28, 2008 and for the 2nd year we are also hosting the Algonquin West Hollywood Literary Award Soiree the night before (Saturday, September 27) at the Pacific Design Center.

The Algonquin West Hollywood Literary Award Soiree serves as a benefit for PEN in the Classroom (a writing program for underserved youth in LA County) and we will also honor legendary author Luis Rodriuez for his significant and enduring artistic contributions to the literary community.  In addition, a highlight of the evening will be a staged reading of “Noel Coward and Friends” (with Calpernia reading the part of “Elvira” in “Blithe Spirit” conceived and directed by actor/theatre artist Michael Kearns…and we have current commitments to participate from actors Calpernia Addams, Marin Landau, Adrienne Barbeau, Maxwell Caulfield, Gordon Thomson Liz Torrez and Ken Page and will be confirming others shortly.”
