Cal-pal Johan sent me a delicious box of Swedish Candy! I unbox it and try everything, including the execrable “Jätte Salt” and “Salt Katten”.

[..YouTube..] Hahaha, how interresting to experience “outside” reactions to what we swedes find perfectly normal – as for instance salted liquorice. Essentialy I guess it shows how “normality” is just a cultural creation. Thank you Calpernia for showing us this in a truly entertaining and impressivly polite way:) Made my day!

[..YouTube..] The salty taste in salt liqorice is not from salt you use on roads or in food.
Salty liquorice, also known as salmiakki or salmiak is a variety of liquorice flavoured with ammonium chloride, common in the Nordic Countries, Netherlands, Baltic States and Northern Germany.
