Category: Live and In Person

Yay, I’m so excited! Attention all Southern Cal-pals, I am coming to Nashville THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY to do two shows at the famous PLAY Dance Bar! I hope to do my new songs live, but depending on the audio setup I may lipsync myself (JUST LIKE BRITNEY OMG!), which would give me more brain power to jiggle with maximum creativity and not run out of breath. Either way, it’s a WIN! Ha ha.

Come out and see me this Friday and Saturday. As a blast from the past, here’s the infamous lesbian makeout scene between Austria Andrews and me at the end of this video of us doing “I know him so well” at PLAY several years ago (the makeout starts at 2:48, pervs! LOL):

Hey kids! I hope you’ll come tonight, we have a great cast. If you can’t make it at 10pm, come later! And send some friends, I need a big sloshed crowd to jiggle for!

In the last few weeks we have seen a table full of straight boys take off their shirts for Calpernia, broadway singing star Erin Quill from “Avenue Q” belt out a crowd favorite live and some of the most gorgeous, sexy and energetic drag performers in LA put on a show for cool kids like you and stars including Ugly Betty’s Alec Mapa and Sordid LivesJason Dottley and Del Shores. And we’re only four shows in!!!

California Entertainer of the Year Pageant

California Entertainer of the Year Pageant

Wow! I have been given the fabulous honor of being one of the celebrity judges for the first California Entertainer of the Year pageant on January 12th, 2010!!! The EOY (Entertainer of the Year) pageant system is for competitive drag entertainers/transsexual showgirls, with a focus on the Talent and “Creative” Eveningwear portions of the competition. In the past, girls have spent many thousands of dollars on choreographed talent numbers, custom made costumes, jewelry, props and evenwear. Back in my day, the winner of the National Entertainer of the Year competition was awarded $10,000 and a new car, a stunning crown and jewelry set and a year’s worth of guaranteed bookings representing the crown. This year, the winner of California EOY will get $10,000 in cash and prizes!

During my early career as a showgirl, I won Nashville Entertainer of the Year, Tennessee Entertainer of the Year and placed in the top ten of Nationals on my first year.

The event will be held at the legendary House of Blues on the even more legendary Sunset Strip in Hollywood, and will feature seven celebrity judges (I can’t wait to tell you who I’ll be judging with! COOL COOL PEOPLE!) including Shanna Moakler (who helped bring down the evil Carrie Prejean). It is sponsored by Odyssey Magazine, OUT Magazine, MAC Cosmetics and other well known sponsors will be announced shortly. Beneficiaries of this year’s pageant are The Matthew Shepard Foundation and the NoH8 Campaign.

In this our inaugural year, the competition will be held at the world famous House of Blues on the legendary Sunset Strip. We are proud to be awarding one of the largest prize packages to female illusionists in the world, topping out at $10,000 in cash and prizes to this year’s Miss California Entertainer of the Year. Our Mr. California Entertainer of the Year will also receive an impressive prize package of $2,500 in cash and prizes.

We are also excited to have partnered with both the Matthew Shepard Foundation as well as the NOH8 Campaign in hopes of raising a significant amount of money in the fight against hate and discrimination. There will be a silent auction preceding the night’s competition with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Matthew Shepard Foundation. There will also be a limited edition NOH8 poster featuring all of our contestants with proceeds benefitting the NOH8 Campaign. These two charities really need our support, and we at California EOY are working hard to do the most that we can for our community.

This year we will be providing airfare and accommodations for both our winner and the first runner-up in the “Miss” category and the winner in the “Mr.” category to represent California EOY and compete for the national title in Louisville, Kentucky, this July.
