Jonathan Pinkerton has a nice article about Del Shores’ upcoming visit to Nashville. Del will be performing his new one man show, telling the stories behind some of his work with shows and celebs like Sordid Lives, Queer as Folk, Dolly Parton and Delta Burke.
On Friday, April 3rd, Nashville fans of LOGO’s hysterically funny and oft too-close-for-comfort tv series, Sordid LivesDel Shores: The Storyteller to town for a one night only performance at Actors Bridge Studio’s Neuhoff Site. are in for a treat when series writer/director/producer moves from behind the scene directly into the spotlight as he brings his one-man-show,
“I haven’t been on stage in so long,” confesses Del. “Last time was when we did the drag version of Sordid Lives” in LA and Palm Springs. I scored, loved it..you know, I came out to LA to act and got sidetracked. But I’ve always entertained around the living room and dining table, usually after a couple of glasses of wine, just telling my stories of crazy. So, Jason (Dottley, his partner who plays the role of Ty in the Sordid series, and also his producer for this tour) had the bright idea that I should do a one man show telling the stories behind the stories in my plays, film and tv work. While waiting for the second season (of Sordid Lives), it seemed to be perfect timing.
Del is also offering a special one-day intensive acting workshop Auditioning and Getting The Job on Saturday April 4.
