Josephyn was my big-voiced Arthea Franklin meets Queens of Comedy sister. On stage she could sing live or juke the house down in her custom made costumes. Offstage I always had to fight my way through throngs on cute blonde 18 year olds to get to her, but then we’d run away to Swett’s for a big dinner of soul food. She’d have me laughing so hard I’d have hominy coming out my nose.
