Medavog’s Video Blog on Transamerican Love Story, Episode 02
Thanks, Medavog! I love hearing your thoughts!
Transameriblog by Shawn
Categories: Diary • Actress • Transamerican Love Story • In Print • MentionsHey kids, don’t miss Transamerican Love Story’s Shawn as he blogs about the show on “Transameriblog”. So far, he’s actually nice to me in the blog despite being made to wear a harem outfit and skimpy bathing suit, ha ha! Now that’s a gentleman.
Well, I’m on TMZ.com again, and this time it’s a post aimed directly at me, rather than one just catching me as part of a group. Aside from the always-tiresome “Used to be a man!” tagline, and the insulting context of a gender origins guessing game, they were surprisingly gentle with me and even filed me under “beauty” and “hot bodies”. Yay(?)

Ha ha, blogger Kenneth in the 212 referenced me in a subtle slam on Hilary Swank today, in his review of “P.S. I Love You”. But I don’t mind… I can take a joke, and I wish I could work at their level. I went out to a bar in New York back in 2003 with a group of about 15 people, which included Gina. She was stunning in person, very sexy and thin.

Andrea turned me on to this July 2006 “American Family Association” mention where we were featured on the cover of the American Family Association Journal! They use us as examples of “sexual radicals who hate Christianity.” AFA Chairman Don Wildmon is upset with Ford Motor Company, and his magazine’s caption for our pic notes:
Ford Motor Company sponsored several GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies, including this one in San Francisco in June. Pictured at the ceremony are GLAAD President Neil Giuliano (center) with transgender actor Calpernia Addams (right) and transgender activist Andrea James (left). A transgendered individual is one who dresses as or has surgically altered his/her body to mimic the opposite sex.

Gay.Com Reaction to the gay presidential forum
Reaction to the gay presidential forum
published Friday, August 10, 2007A few impressions of this political star-fest in Hollywood, where celebrity sightings usually involve klieg lights and movie premieres.
Under blue lighting that gave the Logo/HRC presidential forum studio something of a cool club ambience, celebrities of a different stripe kissed and hugged and buzzed with the excitement in the air.
Actors chatted with politicos and kingmakers. Who was that gabbing between Wilson Cruz and Darryl Stephens? Andrew Tobias, Democratic National Committee treasurer and, not so long ago, the anonymous author of “The Best Little Boy in the World, which told the stories of a generation of gay men who had to find themselves in silence.
Like all of us present, Andy must have felt he was witnessing a miracle.
Elsewhere, former Human Rights Campaign president Elizabeth Birch mingled with radio personality Tammy Bruce; Shelley Morrison, the redoubtable Rosario of “Will & Grace” and one of the LGBT community’s staunchest Hollywood supporters, beamed from the fifth row.
Trans heroine Calpernia Addams got a shout-out from LOGO president Brian Graden, as did Susan Stanton, the Largo, Fla., city manager official fired over her transgender status. In the front row was Staff Sgt. Eric Alva, grave and attentive; in the bleachers opposite were gay comics Jane Lynch and Alec Mapa.
