The Point Foundation Gala
* Andrea and I attended the Point Foundation Gala, a fundraiser for the GLBT scholarship that gave over $1 Million in assistance last year to students who lost support due to their sexuality or gender identity expression. It was hosted by k.d. lang (who I thanked for the music in Soldier’s Girl) at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood. In addition to meeting the inspiring young scholars I got to spend time with some wonderful women from the community, such as the amazing Joanna and VDay’s Donna Rose and Vicky Ortega.
* For entertainment, there was a condensed reading of the upcoming independant film Save Me with cuties Chad Allen and Robert Gant. It’s about drama at an “ex-gay ministries” house. During the after-party in the lobby aaea, I scavenged for hors d’ouvres and got to chat with Christopher Rice, who is so tall and charming! There were many cool people I already knew and I took that last opportunity to show off my cape ensemble before snatching up a gift bag and zipping away home. Yay!

You always get to meet the cool people.
* Thanks, Shay! I forgot to mention, I was wearing my pink cowgirl boots, too. I switched into them after my bit on stage at the GLAAD Media Awards, too, and also wore them to dinner with Placido Domingo the Wednesday before. They’re the boots I wear when I ride my motorcycle, so they have motor oil stains on them, but they’re so cute and comfy…
Nicely done. I like the look as well. I think white during summer just makes you feel great.
Are the cowboy boots what I see peeking out from under the hem??
You look amazing!
And–how jealous am I that you got to meet Robert Gant?!
Well, I guess I should have looked around your site a bit more…I left a comment on like an old entry…I’m not the brightest crayon in the box sometimes…
Anyway..You look sensational!!!
You don’t have to reply to the other comment on that page, because I doubt I could find it again…it was from back in feb I think…something about sushi..haha
Well, now that I know where the updates stuff is at…I guess I’m in the loop.
