London Day 3 - Yorkshire to London

Look, I got some funny money! The bills pictured above cost about $10,000 in American money, or something. It was snowing outside the window, but the camera didn’t catch it. =(
My time in Yorkshire was at a close, and it was time to get to London and begin participation in the film festival. My hosts put me on the train to London in a first class “quiet car”, which was wonderfully comfortable and deserted. One aspect of it being a “quiet car” was
that cellphones were to be turned off, but of course a French model spent much of the time answering her endlessly ringing cellphone to complain about how her hair hadn’t turned out the exact right shade of baby blonde. She was very beautiful, and her hair looked a very natural shade of palest spun gold, but I suppose we’re all our own worst critics. Even French models.
In London, a car from the film fest picked me up and took me to my hotel. It was a nice, cozy little place within walking distance of Oxford Circus (which is a Neighborhood area full of street performers, restaurants and shops, not a circus).
I’ve been terribly tired this whole trip, having just come back from my Ohio trip and just generally being easily exhausted. I got settled in and prepared my things to start getting prettified for a possible night out. I plugged in my new European voltage adaptor/converter and plugged into that my #1 essential beauty item: my $140 hair straightening iron (a gift from Transamerican Love Story). It didn’t come on. Suffice it to say, they’ll be getting a lot of chignons, buns and braids from me on this trip, ha ha.
