Wild West Screen Test
* Well, I got a call to go in for a fitting for the show “Deadwood” so that I can join the pool of call-in’s for the Saloon girls. Hopefully my career will be picking up soon enough that I will be working meatier roles, but till then it will be fun to do the wild west corset and six-shooter thing.
* Of course, I look like an accident victim right now, which makes it somewhat weird going into a showbiz environment. This won’t be like my acting class, where everyone was cool and understanding in a learning environment. I’ll be going to a working set, where it is an eyeroller to even have a bad pimple. But when they called me for the fitting, I told them about my recent “dental surgery” and they said it didn’t matter since it was just a fitting. We wouldn’t start shooting till later in the season.
* So think of me tomorrow, moseying on down to the Melody Ranch out in the boonies of LA with a bandage wrapped around my melon head, getting strapped into a corset. Ha ha… only me…
