I've been receiving up to 200 emails PER DAY, and it can take me several weeks to respond personally to each and every one of them - and that doesn't include the emails concerning my business! So far well over several million people have viewed Calpernia.com, and I have to say WOW! I never expected so many people to be interested. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has written in support of the film and the various projects in general I'm working on. It really is overwhelming!
If I am able to write back, it will probably only be one email. I know this sounds mean, but imagine if you received even only 100 emails in a day from sincere people wanting to talk to you. If you wrote even only one paragraph back to each one, it would be equal to writing a novel every single month. Even Stephen King doesn't write that prolifically, and he does it for a living!
I have to admit that although I love to hear from people whose lives have been touched by the movie and by the other projects here, I can no longer write back to each one individually. I sincerely apologize and please know I love and appreciate every letter! I always try to make time for a reply if I can, though, and as a single girl in the tough town of LA I never mind a kind word from a handsome man (mind your manners, though!).
