Law & Order:SVU Features a Trans Kid
I love the procedural police shows… Law & Order:SVU is one of my favorites, and I often play them in the background while I work on things that require the analytical side of my brain like coding. The series deals with murder, rape and sex crimes, so every episode is going to have one or more of those things as a theme, but this episode features sensitive portrayals of a transitioning MTF child, a young trans man (played by Daniela Sea) and an adult trans person. Give it a look, but get ready to feel some emotions.

This was heart rending and we've all probably either been through that or saw someone else go through that. My partner was beaten outside of a club by three men so severely that she was in the hospital for a month, and 2 weeks of that a coma. My only wish would have been that they would have found a trans child to play the role. And yes they are out there, and yes they are visible. Check out the film at Outfest this year featuring an all trans cast, including the children.
