Hilariously Unbelievable But True Studio BLATANTLY Rips Off Current Blockbusters
OMG, you know how sometimes in movies, they reference a movie within the movie – usually a character walks by a theater or flips through cable channels and you see a brief jokey/parody reference to some popular film? Well, there is actually a movie studio called The Asylum that makes real, serious knockoffs of current films like that! They sound so ridiculously obviously derivative, and have 80′s stars like Michael Gross from Family Ties… delicious, if you’re a “bad movie” fan like me. Check this out, do any of these look familiar? Here are some of the most egregiously ripped off sounding:
Allan Quartermain and the Temple of Skulls – Appears to be blatant knockoff of the upcoming “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull”
The DaVinci Treasure – The DaVinci Code
Monster – More “Charlene Theron” than “Charlize Theron”, this looks like a knockoff of “Cloverfield”
I am Omega – Appears to knock off Will Smith vehicle “I am Legend”
Transmorphers – More than meets the eye!
Snakes on a Train – OMG no they didn’t!
I was enjoying laughing at this until I saw that Maureen McCormick is in one. That makes me sad! Aww…

…Isn’t Alan Quartermain a character on General Hospital?! I’m pretty sure he used to be when I watched it years ago.
There do need to be more “Snakes on a(n) [Insert Mode of Transportation Here]” movies, though, with Sam Jackson being badass, because “Snakes on a Plane” was so fun. At the Sci-Fi convention I go to every year there’s a fake trailer they show called “Tribbles on a Ship” which has a con friend of mine playing Sam Jackson playing Captain Sisko (from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Hi, have I just outed myself as a geek? Yes, I think I have.) and it’s HILARIOUS. I think they need to make a full-length movie. It would be the biggest, geekiest, funniest thing ever.
Poor Maureen McCormick.

Calpernia,
Maureen must not be doing too bad though. I saw her just the other day on some entertainment show like Access Hollywood or something and she was interviewing stars outside a movie premier. She looked great and seemed like she was having a lot of fun. But, I was thinking… you should invite her over for lunch. I bet she would come. Let me know how it goes!
Take care!

Thanks Miss C I love those Asylum movies too that may be because I am in quite a few of them. They are fun campy movies…..As for Mr Richard Bowman, probably one of the most unprofessional, rude men I have ever met! He made a 16 year old girl feel like a fat cow because he was supposed to dress her and basically told her NOT NICELY that he only makes up to a size 8!!! Just an FYI she 6 feet 2 inches tall and a size 10/12! Great thing about it is Calvin Klein sylist ended up dressing her! She looked stunning and closed the Benefit with the most amazing voice I have ever heard come out of a 16 year old girl!!!! Let me know if you want the video!!!
