Mi Vida Loca
* Today I had lunch with friends in Santa Monica, a meeting with an agent in Hollywood and then hung out with Jane Fonda. And I’m still an impoverished struggling actress. My life is so weird.
* I have to go back to the agent next week and perform two monologues: a serious piece and a comedy piece, right there in his office with other people working all around. From serious to funny, standing in front of a desk in an office. So weird to do, but you know what… I honestly love it. This is the right place for me right now. I love it. Embrace the weirdness. Embrace the opportunity. Embrace life!

Preaching OUTSIDE the Choir
I get TONS of email… Metric tons. Thank God it’s not paper mail, or my correspondents would be responsible for the deforestation of a large chunk of rainforest. Most of it is routine work stuff, but there are lots of young trans and gay people looking for support and advice, and lots of people my…

Enjoy yourself, and use timing for a good punch into the lines. It works.

“Monster-in-Law” is her first movie for a while, right? She seems like a very intelligent, gifted, kindhearted woman. It must be neat to know such a big name person!
