* Last night my extended hermitage and workaholism got to be too much for my friends, and they dragged me out for a night on the town. I hadn’t been out dancing for almost two months, and I am still a little weak from my surgery, but I was pretty stir crazy myself. But what really got me to resurrect my tired bones and “get me to the funnery” was the promise of meeting Randy, better known as The Peter Pan Guy! Randy has been an internet celebrity for years, and as an ÔøΩber-geek (and a bit of an internet exhibit myself) of course I was fully aware of him.

* Like most people, the first time I saw his site and the photos of him in his various hand-made outfits, I was unsure how to react. But the more I read, the more I saw that he was a gentle, sweet person who liked to get in touch with his ideals of innocence and fantasy through the creation of hand-made costumes. I thought he was interesting, but never assumed I would meet him in person.

* Enter my friend Strawberry Shortcake, who is friends with Randy… She tells me he comes to visit her occasionally, and would be here this weekend. Imagine my delight! I would finally meet the famous Peter Pan guy! So we all got together at Wheelie’s house, where we received Valentine’s gifts and made merry before going out to dance the night away.

* As you can see in the photos, I am still a bit swollen and have a tiny bruise under my right eye. I wore my new schoolteacher glasses with my hair in a bun to keep the boys away, since I was in no mood for male foolishness. I suppose my shirt kind of countered the glasses, making it a useless effort, but oh well, I made a gesture. A good time was had by all, and then it was off to dreamland for moi.
