Calpernia starred in MTV/Logo’s "Transamerican Love Story", the world’s first competitive dating show featuring an out transsexual woman. Hosted by Alec Mapa, co-starring Andrea James and produced by World of Wonder, "Transamerican Love Story" used comedy and drama to show what dating and romance is like for transsexual woman and the men who date them.
