It would be no different than the married guy or the engaged woman. They are leaving someone behind just like anyone else. They are fighting wars for this country and dying for this country, yet, they are condemmed because they are GLBT??? I agree with you that the judicial system is long since dead. There was someone who helped create the problem (Fisher) and someone who helped assist with the problem by destroying it (Glover). It is sad what happened to Barry and I feel for his family and for Calpernia and all his friends that loved and cared about him and thought that he was just doing something he wanted to do: Protect what is important to him. The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is one, I feel just waiting for something like this to happen, but how many should have to suffer because of someone else's ignorace? No one should have to be put through that, no one should have to be tortured (and yes, harrassment can be torture). And why should anyone care about their sexuality? Does it really matter if they are gay and in the military? I thought that what mattered is that they were there to be all that you could be, looking for a few good men, aiming high, and so on and so forth... I am Calpernia's friend and I have known her going on 11 yrs. and I know that no matter what Hollywood has to do to get viewers she is not a mean vindictive person nor does she has an evil bone in her body. I was at Barry's memorial at Centennial Park. That man did nothing but love and serve and for Ignorance he was murdered!! They (his killers) are what make me believe in capitol punishment..and not believe in this government or the leaders of it!! They should have been sentenced to death for their role in Barry's untimely death..they took his life so it is only fitting that Barry's death by their hands take their lives as well. However, we all know that this countries judicial system croaked a long long time ago! Boo America, You Fail!! People Change. I did not watch this movie, i just watched the clip above and I would NEVER justify what he did, i do not know the whole story... but I can say that he was NOTHING like what they portray him to be in this clip above. He was the biggest clown in airborne school. He was one of the funniest, easy going people there. He and i wrote a few letters back and forth after he became incarcerated, and while I did not ask him details, he told me it was his bat but nothing about provoking the incident. like I said, I have no idea what actually happened but i can DEFINETLY say that he is NOTHING like what this video above makes him seem to be.
