Some Diary Issues Fixed
Hey kids, it came to my attention that the diary has been loading very slowly and that captchas (the little “type in this word to prove you’re a human being” things) weren’t displaying, making it impossible for people to leave comments. I finally figured out the issues, and it looks to be running top notch now! Thanks for your patience!
Now back to your regularly scheduled blabbering!

Coming to Nashville! OMG!
Yay, I’m so excited! Attention all Southern Cal-pals, I am coming to Nashville THIS FRIDAY & SATURDAY to do two shows at the famous PLAY Dance Bar! I hope to do my new songs live, but depending on the audio setup I may lipsync myself (JUST LIKE BRITNEY OMG!), which would give me more brain…
Kid’s Science Project Dropped Because of Gender Identity Findings
I read about this interesting little situation yesterday… Apparently, a kid gathered results from an online survey that included male, female or “other” as gender options for the respondents, among other questions. When his presentation was made, it noted that there were some people who preferred not to identify as male or female, and the…

Preaching OUTSIDE the Choir
I get TONS of email… Metric tons. Thank God it’s not paper mail, or my correspondents would be responsible for the deforestation of a large chunk of rainforest. Most of it is routine work stuff, but there are lots of young trans and gay people looking for support and advice, and lots of people my…
Trevor Project/APLA Oscar Parties
WOW! I had the great fortune of being able to attend the adjacent Oscar parties benefitting The Trevor Project and APLA in West Hollywood! First, I went to the Trevor Project Oscar Party (party details) at Here Lounge in WeHo, by The Trevor Project (details), Tom Whitman and Instinct Magazine. Sweetie Alec Mapa was to…

Baby Loves Banjo Originally uploaded by Kamepyon Sigh… the best times in life are the simplest… My Dad played the banjo (all of our family played music) and the sound of Bluegrass was always at the edges of my childhood. Isn’t this video cute!?!
The 2008 OUT 100 Photo: Morticia Redux
Hey kids, the issue will be off the stands soon, if not already, but here’s the lovely photo they took of me and the awesome Andrea Sperling for 2008′s OUT 100 list:

CAUTION! LOTS OF LOUD SCREAMING IN THIS VIDEO! Turn your speakers down after the dancing! Seriously! I sometimes used to worry about the fact that I hated kids… Maybe it’s because vanilla kids were always so horribly cruel to me growing up. Now that I’m all sparkly and glamorous, little ones and teens seem to…
Les and Leith: Trans Blogger Couple
Les and Leith are a super-sweet trans couple who blog for Trannystar Galactica, and Leith (as Riftgirl) has lots of funny comedy videos as well. This is a recent post about s-e-x, a topic I rarely broach because it usually just goes downhill fast when chasers, pervs and creeps latch on and get gross with…

KRXQ’s anti-trans radio show featuring Rob, Arnie and Dawn has apologized, put up a statement of contrition on their home page and stopped broadcasting their show until further notice! After a broadcast in which hosts Rob and Arnie went on an extended rant against trans and gender-non-conforming children, the GLBT community and beyond rose up…
