Calpernia’s comedic timing was developed by years of MC and hostess duties at one of the largest gay owned and operated nightclub theaters in the country, where she was required to bring countless characters to life on a moment’s notice and improvise off of the rowdy, eclectic and sharp witted audiences.
Her fearlessness as a comedienne can be seen most recently in the popular Funny or Die spoof of the Rebecca Gayheart/Eric Dane/Cari Anne Peniche “nude” video that had Hollywood’s gossip rags in an uproar:
